Having met at the university climbing club, Kay and Andy's relationship took a little while (read three years) to get on solid footing. After many club trips away together and a lot of coffee shops Kay finally gave in to Andy's wooing and agreed to have a bash at dating.
Three years on, one dog, nine puppies, a broken foot, a new house, two new jobs and admittedly less climbing than you’d think. Andy popped the question on top of Helvellyn after a jaunt up striding edge with Beth and Ollie. Cue flood of tears before Kay said yes (of course) and finally took that bloody buff off her head to get some decent engagement photos.
And so to the big day! Hopefully you find yourselves reading this blurb because we have sent you an invite and not because you are looking to purchase some kitchenware…
We hope you can come and celebrate with us in 2022!
The wedding ceremony will be held outside at Coudy Rock climbing crag, in Appleby by Jubilee Bridge. A stones throw from our house, we frequent it often to enjoy its world class (think Yosemite) climbing.
With scenic views of the river, along with copious sheep shit, there could not be a more fitting place for us to get married
We hope you like it there us much as us, and find some time to scale the wall!
Louise and Stephen Reeve have kindly agreed to host our wedding reception in their barn at High Plains Farm. Situated on a hilltop overlooking the Pennines, just outside of Great Asby, we couldn't imagine a more idyllic location to celebrate!
Complete with miniature donkeys, a family of pigs, many a sheep, a collection of horses, and a handful of cows.
Safe to say, the wedding scent we're going for is Eau de Farm...
